Salt of the Earth

"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet." - Matthew 5:13 ESV.

 

No living creature can live without it, and it plays critical and crucial role in maintaining life. Salt is used as a preservative to help keep foods from decaying and spoiling. It also penetrates and spreads throughout everything it comes into contact with. A believer is to preserve life and become embedded into those that they come in to contact with, bringing flavor into a world that is tasteless.

Today it may not mean much, but in ancient times when it was pure, it was a valuable commodity that was so precious that it was sometimes used to pay wages and to cover taxes.

We are called to be salt of the earth and our character must be like that of salt, distinctive and set apart. The power in the lives, and the testimony of a believer lies in them being different and unspotted from the world.

Be like salt!

We love spending time with God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it is through these short videos that we find is the best way to express that love. Our theme Scripture comes from Mark 16:15-16 "Then He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

God did not reveal His truth to us just so we can sit on the sideline. He called us to get into the game, to participate in the work of His kingdom. Are you ready to play? We will do all that we can to bring God's Word to you in the most uplifting and encouraging way possible. We pray that He will work in your lives and continue to provide you with His grace, mercy and love. ​
