"Do what God's teaching says; when you only listen and do nothing, you are fooling yourselves. Those who hear God's teaching and do nothing are like people who look at themselves in a mirror." (James 1:22-23 - NCV).
As a believer there are certain things in which we must do to overcome trials and temptations. Without these things then we would never be able to overcome. The believer must:
Be quick to hear the Word of God and;
Be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer.
In Last week's message we discovered what knowing God's wisdom would do for us. As His wisdom is gained by those who seek to be perfect before Him, and hearing His Word leads to valuable wisdom.
