Confidence in the Lord

“With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.” (2 Chr. 32:8 NIV).

 

Confidence is defined as a feeling of self-assurance that comes from our appreciation of our God given abilities and qualities. We put confidence in the position of trust with another person, or we take confidence in them that we can tell our deepest secrets to.  The Bible however does speak on our confidence, it says in “have no confidence in the flesh, but that of God, because when we begin to rely on the flesh that gets us into all kinds of trouble because we think that we are more than we really are.
